ISS-McKay's northernmost, South Island, New Zealand office is situated in Nelson.

Located northwest of Christchurch, Nelson is the 10th most populous and second oldest city in New Zealand - settled in 1841. The Nelson/Tasman Region of New Zealand has a resident population of more than 87,000 people. The area is unique in that it has three spectacular national parks located within 90 minutes drive of each other.

Servicing the top of New Zealand's South Island, Port Nelson provides a modern port infrastructure teamed with flexible customer-oriented services.

The port lies at the head of Tasman Bay, in the shelter of Nelson Haven with a 13km natural breakwater protecting the harbour in all weather conditions.

The port is dredged to a guaranteed minimum of 9.8 metres and port facilities are situated on flat reclaimed land to the south of the harbour berths.

The region’s export cargoes attract a number of international shipping lines linking to global markets. Nelson produces forestry products, fruit and wine and is a processing base for seafood, both farmed and caught in southern oceans. Port Nelson is one of the largest fishing ports in Australasia. Fuel and cement add to the base of the region’s import cargoes.

Port Nelson provides comprehensive facilities and services to shipping lines, with a reputation for rapid ship turnaround, 24/7 through the port's stevedoring division. TBS QuayPack is the port’s on-wharf facility, providing packing and unpacking services with secure storage.

ISS-McKay's Nelson office is based at the busy port. We are committed to excellence and delivering comprehensive services covering all aspects of vessels calls.
