The baton was transferred to ISS Kuwait from the ISS Umm Qasr office, arriving on board Liberty Maritime Corporation's Liberty Pride on 23 October, 2011. A ceremony was held on 25 October, 2011 at the ISS Kuwait office which was attended by; Jim Robb, General Manager Kuwait, Ravi Ramachandran, Country Commercial Manager, Yamama Abdul Hadi, Personal Assistant to GM, Balram Srinivasan, HR Manager and Nithin Ashok, member of ISS Kuwait’s Social Committee and the co-ordinator of ISS Kuwait’s chosen charity the ‘Kuwait Association for the Care of children in Hospital’ (KACCH), Mary Dempsey-Booz, amongst other representatives of the charity. A cheque for $2,467 was presented by Jim Robb to Mary Dempsey-Booz and in doing so, Jim Robb commented that the ‘Kuwait Association for the Care of children in Hospital – KACCH is doing commendable work in Kuwait, by providing support to terminally ill Kuwaiti children’.

ISS Kuwait decided to raise funds for the ‘Kuwait Association for the Care of children in Hospital’ after members of ISS Kuwait’s Social Committee visited KACCH at the Amiri Hospital in Kuwait, where they met with the represntatives of the charity and had a tour of their facilities.
