The world’s first seafarers' support boat.
27 meters long, offering R&R to the crew of vessels located in the Fujairah anchorage.
Operates 5 days a week during daylight hours and will visit all ships requesting services. To request service contact ISS Fujairah via e-mail or phone.
The operating area will be approximately 240 square miles around Fujairah anchorage.
“Flying Angel” Facilities include
Internet café
Telephone service for seafarers to call home at subsidised rates.
Library comprised of books and DVD for seafarers' to view on board.
Full time welfare officer providing spiritual care.
Paramedic to provide routine medical/ health check ups free of charge.
3 Sat link telephones using VOIP technology.
4 Internet terminals. Cost for usage US$1.00 per 30 minutes (minimum).
Kiosk selling essential goods at duty free prices.
Since its launch the Flying Angel has been working at Fujairah anchorage serving many ISS customers (OSG/ Great Eastern/ MOL / BP/ IMT/ CMM/ Titan/ Solvang to name a few) and bringing smiles to the faces of hundreds of sea-farers. The internet facilities allow them keep in touch with their families back home and the images below show the difference that this can make.
