We would like to provide you with an update regarding the industrial action announced by the professional associations and the national strike against the Federal Government Agreement of Tuesday, 14 October.
The ongoing actions by the pilots’ professional associations were suspended today, 15 October, at 07:30.
The Zandvliet Traffic Control Centre is operational again, and maritime traffic to and from Antwerp has not been obstructed since 07:30.
Following the disruption, traffic density in the Zandvliet area remains high. The Zandvliet Traffic Control Centre is operating at full staffing capacity to ensure the optimal coordination of vessel movements.
Together with our coastguard partners, additional measures have been implemented to monitor the increased traffic density in anchorage areas for safety reasons.
All ferry services have now resumed normal operations.
