Customer Service Representative

Job description

Responsible for managing and optimizing ISS shipping services customer service department to ensure top service for our customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure NB & SB Documentation: i.e. booking are clear, precise and approved by line 
  • Ensure AMS has submitted and processed for NB Cargo
  • Prepare Arrival Notices for NB Cargo
  • Collect original OBL(s)
  • Collect Freight Payment
  • Confirm customs release of cargo
  • Release Cargo
  • Ensure AES has been filed by Shippers and or freight forwarders
  • Ensure line has received VGM (Verified Gross Mass) covering weights
  • Close vessel the day after cutoff date (provided by line)
  • Review Terminal Load List / Compare all agrees with Master BLs/Drafts received
  • Send BL Drafts to shipper/freight forwarders for approvals
  • Make changes to BL Drafts & Re-send final draft
  • Ensure completed outbound manifest filed with CBP “4” working days from date of vessel clearance
  • Other duties as assigned
