Current tropical cyclone updates for Hannah and Douglas

Post Hurricane Hanna

Hurricane Hannah moving inland south of Corpus Christi 25th July.

Channel Status Updates:

Infrastructure Impacts

Approximately 43,700 are currently without power. Rainfall totals reached up to 18 inches (45.7 cm) in some areas, and more rain from the outer rainbands are still expected.

The Port of Corpus Christi is working to assess the impacts of Hannah, however light damage, flooding and debris has been identified. Federal, state, and local agencies are working with the port to resume normal activities as quickly as possible.

Corpus Christi is the 3rd largest exporter of US crude oil in the United States.

Hurricane Douglas

As of 26 July all ports are Port Condition Zulu, and all marine terminals and facilities have ceased cargo operations.

Per the attached MSIB, vessels transiting within the area are asked to seek sheltered waters until storm conditions subside.

Douglas has slowed down, and was downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane.
