Dear valued customer,

Please find herewith below and attached Fremantle Ports’ Harbour Master’s Instruction pertaining to Low Sulphur Fuel Regulations for your perusal.

Good Day

Please see the attached Harbour Master Instruction as advise to internal and external stakeholders of the Implications of the new MARPOL ANNEX VI Regulations with regards to the LOW SULFER FUELS and the operation of OPEN and CLOSED SCRUBBERS.

We have been receiving many enquiries from agents and companies as to what will be the requirements at Fremantle Ports. Currently we are following the instruction and regulations set by the Australian maritime Safety Authority. As we are not the regulating body for MARPOL compliance then vessels will be subject to inspections and requirements under AMSA when operating in Australian waters and within Fremantle Ports.

Please see the attached Harbour Master Instruction. Should you require further clarification then please contact Fremantle Ports.
