Goonyella Corridor, Australia Rail Defect

Inchcape Shipping Services understands that due to a rail defect the Goonyella corridor between Wotonga and Moranbah North, Australia has been closed as at 0900hrs / 08 August.  The impacted section of the railway is expected to be operational by 1400hrs / 08 August, however further repair works are expected tomorrow Friday 09 August.

Inchcape expects this to impact deliveries to Hay Point & DBCT for cargoes North and West of Isaac Plains with train cancellations highly likely as a result of the repairs.  Any mines along the Goonyella looking to send cargoes north to the Newlands system and along to Abbot Point will also be affected.
