Inchcape Buoy (26˚ 10.10’ N 055˚ 53.10’ E)

For more than 44 years the Inchcape Buoy (26˚ 10.10’ N 055˚ 53.10’ E) OPL Mina Saqr, Ras Al Khaimah has been acting as a key rendezvous point for all types of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. This unique location of the Inchcape buoy allows for a minimum deviation from regular service routes, allowing ships to receive services such as transfer of personnel, provisions and spares, rather than having to make a port call to receive these services, thus, offering flexibility, time & cost savings.

Inchcape was the first port agency to permanently station launches at Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, primarily for vessels transiting the Straits of Hormuz. Our Inchcape owned fleet based in Ras Al Khaimah provides services without delays to passing ships.

The rendezvous position at  26° 10’N 055°53’E  is nearly 3 NM South west of the Inchcape buoy.
The Inchcape RAK office, operational 24/7 controls operations of our launch boat stationed at Mina Saqr.

We look forward to serving your requirements.
