Protests in Hong Kong

Please be advised that Hong Kong has been encountering various demonstrations.  Due to mass sit-in, protesters occupied the airport arrival / departure terminals on the 12 and 13 Aug 2019, the airport operations were disrupted and flights were cancelled.

All protests are now banned at the airport except in the designated area, according to an injunction obtained by the Airport Authority.  Hong Kong International Airport will implement flight rescheduling today (14 Aug 2019) with flight movements expected to be affected. Passengers are reminded to pay attention to the latest flight information through the airport’s website, confirm the flights before heading to the airport and check with their airlines for the latest flight information.  Travellers are suggested to allow more time for journeys to / from airports.

Advice is to avoid the areas of demonstrations and exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.

Ports and Inchcape offices are operating normally.
