Port/sAll Ports
Issue TypeCivil unrest
ImpactPartial Closure

Pilotage:
There is no change in the situation at MDK. SWATHs remain unmanned; however, pilotage is being carried out using launch boats. All other operations are functioning normally.

Antwerp

PoAB Status:
The tug service is currently operating at approximately 80% capacity, with only limited participation in strike action.

The situation at the locks is less favourable than previously anticipated. A significant number of workers have joined the strike, resulting in restricted operations. At present, only two locks—Kieldrecht Lock and Zandvliet Lock—are operational, and only for vessels up to 180 metres in length. PoAB is actively working to implement a solution.

In summary, the impact on Scheldt terminals is minimal, while the docks area is experiencing considerable disruption for vessels exceeding 180 metres in length.

Currently, 14 inbound and 11 outbound vessels are subject to delays. An additional lock, the Van Cauwelaert Lock, has now been made available for inland navigation.

Zeebrugge

Operations are continuing as normal.
