We would like to provide a situational update regarding recent security developments in Mexico following events reported yesterday and continuing into today in connection with law-enforcement actions related to Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”) and the CJNG criminal organization.
Based on publicly available information and local monitoring:
- Authorities have conducted security operations with increased federal force presence across selected areas.
- Isolated incidents of violence, road blockages, vehicle burnings, and localized mobility disruptions have been reported.
- Government entities remain actively monitoring the situation and are advising the public to follow official communication channels.
- All ISS Mexico offices and personnel (and families) have been accounted for and are safe, with normal operations continuing across our locations.
Current reporting indicates heightened risk or incident activity primarily across the following states:
• Jalisco
• Michoacán
• Guanajuato
• Zacatecas
• Colima

From an operational standpoint, while no direct impact on ISS Mexico port activities has been identified, localised mobility constraints may indirectly affect logistics and crew change execution, particularly for colleagues abroad coordinating movements into Mexico.
Potential operational considerations:
* Flight delays or schedule adjustments on selected domestic routes.
* Temporary road blockages and increased transit times between airports, hotels, and ports.
* Occasional delays in ground transportation and logistics coordination.
* Additional time required to complete crew movements and related formalities.
Preventive and mitigation measures in place:
- Continuous monitoring of official sources, port authorities, airports, and local intelligence.
- Close coordination with transport providers, airlines, and local vendors to confirm route viability.
- Verification of landside access conditions for crew movements, husbandry services, and logistics activities.
- Reinforced communication with local teams and proactive escalation protocol for any operational, personnel, or vendor impact.
We kindly recommend allowing additional buffer time when planning crew changes in Mexico over the coming days and maintaining close coordination with ISS Mexico teams for real-time updates.
ISS Mexico will continue to monitor developments closely and will promptly communicate any material changes that could affect safety or business continuity.
