Industrial action by the CGT union continues at the towage company SORMAR.

Towage services for berthing and unberthing are currently unavailable.
Vessels requiring towage assistance cannot be supported until further notice.

Le Havre

A series of port worker strikes has been announced, impacting container terminals and lock access.

On 12 March 2026, a four‑hour strike will take place from 0800 to 1200. During this period, access through Lock François Ier and Lock Quinette de Rochemont / Vétillart will not be possible. This will affect movements to jetties including SHMPP, Yara, Chane, ATO, MTV, Bougainville, HDP and Orcher.

Further disruptions are scheduled as follows:

Lock François Ier

  • Friday 13 March, 07:00 to 19:00
  • Saturday 14 March from 19:00 until Sunday 15 March at 07:00

Lock Quinette de Rochemont / Vétillart and all open bridges in Le Havre port

  • Sunday 15 March, 07:00 to 19:00
  • Monday 16 March, 07:00 until Tuesday 17 March at 07:00
