Article 14 GDPR Transparency Notice – WOP Survey and Time Limited Access Trial

1. Purpose of this Notice
This notice is provided under Article 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It explains how we process personal data (email addresses) collected indirectly, when you participated in our survey, and how we use this data to offer time-limited trial access to our World of Ports system.

Your email address was collected through your participation in our Maritime Data Solution – Price Survey conducted through SurveyMonkey.

4. Purposes of Processing
We process your email address for the following purposes:
To contact you with an offer of a time-limited trial access to our World of Ports system;
To manage and administer that access if you choose to accept the offer;
To maintain records of communications relating to your participation.

5. Lawful Basis for Processing
The lawful bases we rely on are:
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – Legitimate Interests: we have a legitimate interest in offering access to our services to survey participants, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
If you accept access to World of Ports, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – Performance of a Contract and the associated Privacy Policy will apply to any further processing necessary to provide that access.

6. Recipients of the Data
We may share your data with:
Our staff who support the administration of the survey and World of Ports platform.
Regulatory bodies, if required by law.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Transfers Outside the EEA/UK
If your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

8. Retention Period
Your email address will be retained only for as long as necessary to:
Send you the offer of access to World of Ports; and
Manage any access you accept.
