Inchcape Shipping Services, a global leader in port agency and marine services, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Global Husbandry Agency Contract by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), covering six Areas of Operation (AOOs) across the globe.
This award marks a significant expansion of Inchcape’s long‑standing support to NATO member nations. The Framework Contract has been active since July 2025 and has now been successfully extended through July 2027, ensuring continuity of service during the mobilisation phase. This extension is a clear recognition of Inchcape’s flawless execution of the contract, even while operating in some of the most challenging environments.
Under this contract, Inchcape delivers comprehensive husbandry services to all classes of naval vessels, including surface ships and submarines, across the six AOOs assigned. These regions span an exceptionally wide and strategically vital footprint, stretching from Greenland, down the Atlantic coast of Africa, across the Mediterranean, through the Indian Ocean, and extending as far as Australia.
Delivering Mission Critical Support Across Six Global AOOs
As the appointed global husbandry agent, Inchcape delivers a robust suite of services, including coordinating port entry and clearance formalities, vessel movements, logistics, crew support, and the supply of fuel, stores, and technical assistance, all in full compliance with NATO security, auditability, and operational reporting requirements.
The contract reinforces Inchcape’s capability to support naval operations in some of the world’s most challenging, remote, and strategically important maritime environments. Inchcape delivers its greatest value when conditions are most demanding. Supporting clients through periods of crisis, tension, and operational pressure is what distinguishes our capabilities and why we are trusted to deliver when it matters most.
Strengthening Cooperation with NATO Allies
“In today’s rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape, NATO’s role in maintaining global maritime stability has never been more vital. We are honoured that NSPA has entrusted Inchcape with this responsibility. Having operated under the framework since July 2025, we are proud to continue supporting NATO missions with the reliability, transparency, and operational excellence that define our service. Covering six AOOs through to late 2027, this award reflects the confidence placed in our people, our global network, and our ability to deliver consistent, mission-ready support wherever required.” — Svend Stenberg, Chief Commercial Officer, Inchcape Shipping Services
