Following up on the previous communication regarding potential strike actions:
- May 17 – BVL: There are no changes for now. The pilots and Minister Jambon are scheduled to meet today, May 16, with possible participation from the Flemish Government (Cabinet De Ridder). The Flemish Government will present a proposal, but it remains unclear whether it will be sufficient for the pilots.
- May 20: Clear indications suggest that MDK (pilots, Fleet, Traffic Control Centres, etc.), PoAB (locks), and Customs will carry out actions, likely causing serious disruptions to the Nautical Chain from Monday evening, 19 May, until Wednesday morning, 21 May.
- The trade unions at MDK have issued an indefinite general strike notice starting May 20. Pilots will have the freedom to strike at their own discretion.
