On 6th March, a conveyor belt at Vila do Conde port was damaged and subsequently fell into the water following a collision. This incident follows an earlier collision on 26th February, when a barge struck the conveyor belt. The structure was further impacted on 6th March due to adverse weather conditions, leading to its complete collapse.
No vessels were affected, and all lives were preserved and secured.
The conveyor belt is located at a private terminal, and no information is available regarding the expected time for recovery and rebuilding
