SCHEDULED CHANNEL CLOSURE: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2024:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Coast Guard will close the Mississippi River Channel to all vessel traffic from Mile 2.0 Above Head of Passes to Mile 0 (Head of Passes) on Thursday, February 1, 2024. The closure will be utilized for Weeks Marine to raise the remaining section of the submerged dredge pipeline. The scheduled channel closure follows the details below with similar guidance to the closures last week that successfully removed the majority of the submerged dredge pipeline.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2024: Complete Channel Closure from 0700 hours to 1900 hours for all vessel traffic from Mile 2 AHP to Mile 0 (Head of Passes). This closure will be utilized to remove the remaining section of submerged dredge pipeline.
