Due to a national strike affecting various sectors, including ports and airports, the Zandvliet Traffic Center (VTS) will be understaffed from Monday, April 28, at 19:30 until Wednesday, April 30, at 07:30. As a result, shipping traffic to and from Antwerp will experience significant disruptions, and the port will be completely closed during this period.
Vessels scheduled to depart from noon today will not be planned for sailing and will remain in port until further notice. Shifting within the port limits (excluding crossing the river) will still be possible, but other movements may be limited.
