Trade union actions at the Flemish Pilotage and Fleet – update 6.12 – 9.30am
This night 05/12, after negotiations led by Minister Rutten, an agreement was reached with the ACV to stop their union actions. As a result, the locks on Flemish inland waterways will be operated again.
The nautical chain will be slowly restarted. This depends on the decision of pilots and fleet workers to return to work.
There were reportedly to be further consultations between VSOA and ACOD and Minister Rutten during the day.
