Tropical Cyclone #9, named Helene, is rapidly intensifying as it moves northward into the Gulf of Mexico. The storm’s wind field is expected to expand significantly as it strengthens. The primary period of impact is anticipated to begin late Wednesday night into early Thursday, continuing throughout much of Thursday. The storm is forecasted to exit the region late Thursday.
