Southbound vessels refuse transit due to stong winds

Please note that due to bad weather today in Port Said, with winds of 36 – 40 knots, 14 vessels in the South Bound convoy refused to transit the Suez Canal under the Masters’ responsibility for approaching the Suez Canal entrance until receiving the Suez Canal pilot, therefore they have effectively cancelled their Suez Canal transit.

All vessels of the Northbound convoy have already joined the convoy this morning.
