Latest forecast on Monday shows worsening conditions, 5 wharf is close to shore line conditions now. If this does not change for the better, the port might not be able to have vessels alongside over 250m LOA from Wednesday evening until Thursday afternoon (or whatever period is in next forecast). Container vessels may need to depart berths earlier if the wind starts tracking higher or earlier than this forecast to be within their maneuvering limits, as well as dependent on their DUKC.
Shipping moves will be affected by the surge forecast on Wednesday and Thursday, they may not necessarily be able to berth/unberth at the times on the board, and as a result DUKC will reduce the size of their windows. The limit is dependent on berth and draft, so if you need to know more details about a specific vessels limitations or berth limitations please ask the Duty Pilot.
