Cyclone Ann has been downgraded to a Tropical Low and at this stage poses no threat to ports on the Queensland coast. Vessels transiting the Inner Route of the Great Barrier Reef may experience sever weather conditions during the transit.
TROPICAL CYCLONE INFORMATION BULLETIN
Ex-tropical cyclone Ann, was located in the northern Coral Sea, approximately 375 kilometres northeast of Cairns. The system is expected to move to the west-northwest through the remainder of today and likely to cross the northeast coast of Queensland during Wednesday as a tropical low.
Damaging winds, with peak gusts of around 90 km/h, may develop this morning between about Cape Grenville and Cooktown, including Lizard Island. The winds should gradually ease during early Wednesday afternoon as the low moves across Cape York Peninsula.
