Suez Canal Authority Increases Fees for Electronic Service

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has announced an increase in the fees for using its Electronic Service. This amendment modifies the fee mentioned in “Article One” of the periodical issued on 26/07/2020 concerning the SCA’s Electronic Service.

The new fees are as follows:

  • $300 (three hundred US dollars) for vessels transiting the Suez Canal, effective from 01/09/2024.
  • $500 (five hundred US dollars) for vessels transiting the Suez Canal, effective from 01/01/2025.

The conditions stated in “Article One” and “Article Two” of the periodical issued on 26/07/2020 shall remain in force, except for the fee mentioned in “Article One,” which has been amended as per the above.

The SCA’s Electronic Service allows navigation agents to apply and follow up on requests for vessel transit, circulars, rebates for long-haul vessels, and other services online. This fee increase aims to cover the operational costs associated with providing and maintaining the electronic platform.
