Hurricane Fiona 19th September Update

Tropical storm Fiona, made landfall as a category 1 Hurricane. The center is forecast to pass near or to the east of the Turks and Caicos on Tue.
Some strengthening is expected during the next few days after the Fiona emerges over the southwestern Atlantic, and Fiona is forecast to become a major hurricane by Wed.

As of 0900 19th of September Fiona has max speed winds of 90mph. (80 kt with gusts to 100 kt.)

Post Hurricane Conditions – Puerto Rico

All port remain closed at this time. 1.3 million homes are currently without power. A state of emergency has been declared by US President Biden due to the historic flooding due to Fiona. Power restoration timeline is unknown at this time.

Assessments are being done by the local Port Authority to see if the ports are capable of operating normally.
