Porto Alegre, Brazil port closure

Heavy rains have affected port operations at Porto Alegre – South Brazil. Lagoa do Patos/Guaiba water level has risen due to ongoing rain at Rio Grande do Sul State, which flooded the city of Porto Alegre.

According to Authorities, there is no forecast for improvement due to winds, which are not favourable for water to be flushed out to sea and continuous rain at Rio Grande do Sul.
