TRS Cyclone Gabrielle moving South East and off the coast of NZ. Wind speeds upto 140km during today plus heavy rain .

Marsden Point/Whangarei
Opens 0900 16th with subjects on deep draft vessels UKC and movements only one hour either side of High Water.

Auckland
Limited shipping movements from 1900 tonight and full port movements resume at 0700 15th.

Tauranga
• Tauranga container terminal resumed work 0600hrs today.
• Shipping movements to resume 1300hrs today pending swell conditions – any delays updates will be sent out as soon as possible.
Based on weather forecasts expect winds to abate Wednesday morning .

Napier
Port closed. Winds gusting 120km . Some flooding in the vicinity of the port . Power supply disrupted and access bridges to the area down.

Wellington
Port open but on high wind watch and vessel movements being individually assessed for both entry and departure . Tanker currently in port remains berthed due to large swells at the entrance.

New Plymouth
Closed until tomorrow- further Port update and review expected .

Nelson
Open.

Lyttelton
Experiencing high winds and swell conditions at the pilot ground. Risk assessment of all movements being undertaken. Cashin Quay berth evacuated . Inner Harbour berths remain open.

Timaru
Port closed. Swell conditions are forecast to remain above operating limits for the next 48 hours.

Port Chalmers
Open with strong winds expected tomorrow . Port review expected.

Bluff
Nil warnings.
