In preparation for Hurricane Francine’s landfall, the pilots’ associations have announced that they will suspend vessel traffic movements on the Mississippi River at approx. 16:00hrs/ 10th Sept..
The storm is expected to make landfall on 11 September, and vessel movement is expected to resume on 12 September after all damage assessments have been made and approval by USCG Sector New Orleans has been given.
